I will not glory I dare not boast
Of worldly pleasures that charm me most
The tings of earth men may esteem
The cross of Jesus shall be my theme
I will glory in the cross
Where my Jesus was crucified
Through His blood I stand forgiven
Cleansed from sin and justified
I will glory in the cross
I will ever lift it high
As the banner for salvation
As the standard for my life
If I should stumble if I should stray
His grace and mercy shall be my stay
His blood His cross avails for me
This my eternal firm decree
