Flutter

You put her under a trance
A wind of love
Sweetly blowing over her
She was flying
Gliding on milky beams of butterfly wings
Crossing a bridge of fate into an unseen world
When darkness fell
Shimmers turned to shadows
And the wind died to a wispy silence
She was dropping
Falling into a lonely valley filled with flowers
That had all closed their petals and gone to sleep
In the blackness above
Star trails hung
Glistening memories of the flight
To comfort her heart
Fluttering in the deep night
But where there is faith
Another dawn will rise
Warm hues will spread their brilliance
And awaken the hidden beauty around
Your wind of love
Will lift this painted lady
Up into the sky
Wings glowing
A heavenly sight
Like windows of stained glass
Illuminated by rays of light
