Song: The Ghost Psalm
Artist: Zao
Album: Liberate te ex Inferis (Save Yourself From Hell)
Tuning: Drop C (Drop all strings a full note,
and then the bottom string another full note)
Effects: Standard distortion pedals
Guitars: 2 guitars, at least one of them being 24 frets
This is the first time I've ever tried to tab a song...
The opening riff is:
D----
A----
Riff F-13-
One C----
G-11-
C----
Followed Quickly by:
D-------
A-------
Riff F-------
Two C-00000-
G-00000-
C-00000-
If you have two guitarists like they did, have the second guitar play:
D-------
A-------
Riff F-------
Three C-03030-
G-03030-
C-03030-
It goes something like this:
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
First F-13-------13-13---------13-------13-13-13---------||
Guitar C----00000-------0000000----00000----------0000000-||
G-11-00000-11-11-0000000-11-00000-11-11-11-0000000-||
C----00000-------0000000----00000----------0000000-||
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
Second F-13-------13-13---------13-------13-13-13---------||
Guitar C----03030-------0303030----03030----------0303030-||
G-11-03030-11-11-0303030-11-03030-11-11-11-0303030-||
C----03030-------0303030----03030----------0303030-||
If Guitar 2's part is too hard, then have only guitar 1 play the 11/13 riff.
Play it through 6 times like that.
on the 7th and 8th time however, Guitar 2 Does a variation....
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
Second F-13-------13-13----3344/13-------13-13-13----3344/||
Guitar C----03030-------030--------03030----------030-----||
G-11-03030-11-11-0301122/11-03030-11-11-11-0301122/||
C----03030-------030--------03030----------030-----||
Where i have written 1's, 2's, 3's, and 4's,
you should be playing 11's, 12's, 13's, and 14's.
(It would have screwed up the sequencing
if the numbers were more then one digit)
Again, if Guitar 2's part is too much too fast,
then this time skip the 030's
Moving on...
Both guitars will begin playing immediatly after the last riff:
D----
A----
F----
C-00-
G-00-
C-00-
This gets played 24 times. On the 25th,
Guitar 1 continues to play this, but guitar 2 plays:
D---------------------
A---------------------
Second F-17---19-20-19-17-19-
Guitar C---------------------
G-15---17-18-17-15-17-
C---------------------
Then (Hammering on the bottom 3 strings just like guitar 1 in between):
D---------------------||
A---------------------||
Second F-17---19-20-19-22----||
Guitar C---------------------||
G-15---17-18-17-20----||
C---------------------||
Then repeat those two riffs one more time.
At this point both guitars fall silent while Dan whispers.
After the silence, both guitars play:
D----
A----
F----
C-00-
G-00-
C-00-
Then guitar 2 plays :
D----------------
A----------------
F-5---7-8-7-5-7-
C----------------
G-3---5-6-5-3-5-
C----------------
And (with the bottom 3 being played in between again):
D----------------||
A----------------||
F-5---7-8-7--10--||
C----------------||
G-3---5-6-5--8---||
C----------------||
This is repeated once more. However, at the end,
guitar 1 stops playing, and guitar 2 lets the last 8/10 ring out.
The 10 is bent a note up, both the 8 and 10 still being strummed,
slowly the 8 is bent up. after a about 10-20 seconds,
it quickly goes back to the original intro:
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
First F-13-------13-13---------13-------13-13-13---------||
Guitar C----00000-------0000000----00000----------0000000-||
G-11-00000-11-11-0000000-11-00000-11-11-11-0000000-||
C----00000-------0000000----00000----------0000000-||
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
Second F-13-------13-13---------13-------13-13-13---------||
Guitar C----03030-------0303030----03030----------0303030-||
G-11-03030-11-11-0303030-11-03030-11-11-11-0303030-||
C----03030-------0303030----03030----------0303030-||
This is played 2 times, then guitar 2 does the same variation as before:
D--------------------------------------------------||
A--------------------------------------------------||
Second F-13-------13-13----3344/13-------13-13-13----3344/||
Guitar C----03030-------030--------03030----------030-----||
G-11-03030-11-11-0301122/11-03030-11-11-11-0301122/||
C----03030-------030--------03030----------030-----||
This is played 2 times also, with guitar 1 playing the same riff twice more.
Guitar 1 lets his last riff ring out, guitar 2 starts playing:
D-----------------------------------------||
A-----------------------------------------||
F------------------------------15------15-||
C-------13------13------------------------||
G-12-12---12-12----12-13-13-13---13-13----||
C-----------------------------------------||
This is played about 7 times, and on the 8th guitar 1 joins in with:
D-------
A-------
F-------
C-0-3-0-
G-0-3-0-
C-0-3-0-
There's another riff that I haven't been able to figure out.
E-mail me if you know it please.
There are two final outro riffs that go like this:
D---------------------
A---------------------
F-14---15-17----------
C---------------------
G-12---13-15----------
C---------------------
D---------------------
A---------------------
F-14---17-15----------
C---------------------
G-12---15-13----------
C---------------------
That's all of this song that I know. Hope it helps.
