- Testimony Of Angel At Redsucker Lake
Acts
27:23
“For
there stood by me this night the angel of
God,
Whose I am
and Whom I serve, saying, fear not...”
(Acts 27:23) -ST. PAUL
Kathryn Harper
was ‘hanging out the wash’ on
a summer day in 1977. A loud overhead noise
caused her to scan the sky for a jet-plane!
What she
saw startled her. Directly above her was
a whirlwind heading straight down. As Kathryn
started running toward the house, an angel
of God stood before her! He was shining
and transparent. And he appeared to be surrounded
by clouds!
The heavenly
messenger addressed Kathryn Harper thusly:
“Jesus is coming soon. Tell everyone
to repent of their sins. Those who are left
behind will suffer terribly and go through
a hard time”!
As suddenly
as he had appeared, God’s angel ascended
in a whirlwind of light! And Kathryn Harper
fell to the ground, overcome by the mighty
power of God!
How long
she was on the ground is unsure, but when
her daughter Eileen dropped in to visit,
she was lying face - down, unable to get
up!
Eileen thought
her mother had fainted, but observed her
lips moving in prayer. When Eileen asked,
“What happened? Are you alright?”
her mother whispered, “I have seen
an angel”!
A neighbor
assisted Eileen in dragging her inside and
placing her on a bed! After her husband,
Pastor Alan B. Harper and others prayed
for her, Eileen was able to share what she
had seen and heard!
A burden
to fast and pray came upon Kathryn, which
she did for three days. Word spread and
people came from far and wide to hear her
amazing testimony! And a revival of God’s
grace swept across the area! Let us examine
the Angel’s message!
No. 1:
JESUS IS COMING SOON!
This is entirely
in keeping with the Bible! Jesus promised:
“And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again, and receive you
unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may
be also”. (John 14:3)
At the time
of His ascension, two angels prophesied
that Jesus would return. “...This same
Jesus, Which is taken up from you into Heaven
shall so come in like manner as ye have
seen Him go into Heaven”. (Acts 1:9-11)
The Bible
says: “Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall
come from the presence of the Lord; And
He shall send Jesus Christ, which before
was preached unto you.” (Acts 3:19-21)
And St. Paul
wrote: “For the Lord Himself shall
descend from Heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump
of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first:
“Then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught
up (harpazo, gr.-snatched up) together with
them in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.” (1 Thess. 4:13-18)
No. 2:
TELL EVERYONE TO REPENT OF THEIR SINS
To repent
means to change, to turn around and walk
a different path. And the word ‘sin’
means ‘to miss the mark’, disobey,
rebel and violate the laws of God!
Jesus said,
“Repent (change your ways) or you will
all likewise perish”. (Luke 13:3)
The Bible
says, “Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and
let him return unto the Lord, and He will
have mercy upon him; and to our God, for
He will abundantly pardon”. (Isaiah
55:7)
Repentance
means having “godly sorrow for sin”
and a turning from evil!
No. 3:
THOSE LEFT BEHIND WILL SUFFER TERRIBLY AND
GO THROUGH A HARD TIME!
This refers
to the “great tribulation period”,
which will occur after Jesus has returned
to rapture His Church!
The Bible
says: “For then shall be great tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, no, nor ever shall be”.
(Matt. 24:21) “And in those days shall
men seek death, and not find it; and shall
desire to die, and death shall flee from
him”. (Rev. 9:6)
During the
great tribulation, men like Dr. Jack Kevorkian
(euthanasia and doctor-assisted suicide
advocates) will be powerless to practice
their craft!
Jesus warned
of the dreadful times which mankind will
soon face, when the Antichrist will rule
with a vengeance, and God will send His
plagues upon the earth!
“And
I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal,
and lo, the sun became black as sackcloth
of hair, and the moon became as blood: And
the stars fell from Heaven fell unto the
earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely
figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
“And
the heaven departed a scroll when it is
rolled together; and every mountain and
island is moved out of their places.
“And
the kings of the earth, and the great men,
and the rich men, and the chief captains,
and the mighty men, and every bondman, and
every free man, hid themselves in the dens
and in the rocks of the mountains;
“And
said to the mountains and the rocks, fall
on us, and hide us from the face of Him
that sitteth on the throne, and from the
wrath of the Lamb:
“For
the great day of His wrath is come; and
who shall be able to stand?” (Rev.
6:12-17)
May we not
neglect Jesus’ warning, as well as
the ‘angel of God’, who visited
a little Indian village in the backwoods
of northern Manitoba more than twenty-five
years ago!
Angels of
God are sent to minister to those who are
heirs of eternal life. They are often deployed
by God to bring warning of coming judgment
upon a corrupted and perverse society!
Fred Harper
- former chief of Red Sucker Lake - recalls
with great solemnity the visit of ‘God’s
Angel’, and the effect it had on his
mother and their entire family!
Glowingly,
Pastor Alan B. Harper shares the testimony
of his son, Elijah, who was healed when
he and Bishop Alex Beardy - together with
their respective churches - prayed during
a special telephone conversation. And Elijah
Harper returned to a living faith in Jesus
Christ!
Calling his
father from British Columbia shortly thereafter,
Elijah Harper MP excitedly exclaimed, “I’ve
just gotten baptized. I had to do it, Dad.
It was the Lord Who healed me”!
On his calling
card, Pastor Alan B. Harper has printed
- in bold capitals - these words: ‘JESUS
CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER’
- Heb. 13:8.
What more
can I say? Hallelujah!
