We live our daily lives, going about our daily chores. We do each day, what we think that we are supposed to do. We call ourselves Christians, doing our work at the Church, in the neighborhood, and in missions, as we think we should - being our Christian selves. But, are we really being Christians? Really? Really, are we, in the true sense of the Word?
Let's try a simple test:
1. If a stranger approaches you, what is your reaction! How do you respond to that person?
1. with love
2. with fear
3. with rejection
2. If a person comes to your door, and says "I am hungry" what would your response be?
1. go somewhere else
2. be afraid to open the door
3. offer what you can
3. If someone is having a trying time (difficulties), do you:
1. ignore them
2. suddenly remember something that you need to go do
3. take time to console and comfort them, and offer prayer
4. When something happens in your daily life, do you become:
1. angry
2. sad
3. disheartened
4. go immediately and pray
5. When you pray, do you:
1. pray on the street corner
2. pray openly in public
3. go to seek a place in private
If you answered "with love" to question one, you are probably well on the right pathway.
"Offering what you can" in number two; and "taking time to offer prayer and consolation in the
third question. Question number four, should obviously be #4. Question five, should be number
3.
If your answers were any different, then a sound study of the Bible is definitely needed.
Along with a truthful look at your perspectives, and a cleansing of your soul. Try prayer,
coupled with a time of meditation.
If we have God in our lives, then we know that He is our Shield. We have no reason to "fear"
anything or anyone. If we are truthful, about having confessed our sins, and have asked The
Father to be in our lives, and to guide us and lead us, then we will find all the humility and
humbleness, that we need. We son't have to worry consistently about the next person, because
God will show us things, as we need to know it. He will lead us in our daily lives, and all of
our lives.
This giving of our lives must be completely truthful; and it must come from within. Just
telling someone else, that we are saved; and having others say what a good person we are, is
not enough. A person - cannot save another person.
"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out
of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
But I say unto you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the
day of judgement.
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Matthew
12:35-37
