Alarm Clock Christianity
1 Cor 15:51-58,
There is going to be a great alarm
clock going off.
just around the corner there is a moment.
twinkling of an eye
blast of a trumpet
will be a great shout
involve both live Christians and those who are Ďasleepí in Christ.
Word says, 1 Thes 4:17 we shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord.
This alarm clock will:

life we know.

It is the great HOPE for the believer.
the way we believe
††††††††††† We will not have nagging doubts any

darkly; but then face-to-face.

††††††††††† Jesus will wipe away all tears.
But this alarm clock will catch
many Christians by complete surprise
never studied Godís Word
††††††††††† They have believed in Jesus Christ
††††††††††† But they have never grown in
knowledge and understanding
have heard but they are burdened by the cares of this world.

††††††††††† They attend church and joyfully
receive the truths of Scripture,
††††††††††† But they are afraid to change, so
they quit coming.
We are commanded to WATCH for the
Second Coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Matthew
25:13 †Watch therefore, for ye know
neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.†††††††††††

Not because of the signs of the times, but just because ---

when He comes there will be a blast of a trumpet.
††††††††††† ††††††††††† The dead in Christ will rise first,
††††††††††† ††††††††††† Then we, which are alive, will rise
and meet Him in the air,

IT COULD ALL BEGIN HAPPENING
think, you could see Jesus in the next thirty seconds.
HOW MIGHT THIS AFFECT YOUR LIFE,
WATCHING FOR HIS RETURN?
it distract you from your responsibilities?†
I think not.
might it do, if I think I very likely might be with the Lord in the very next
DO YOU SEE?† It would serve to ignite other parts of our

won't be interested in the lusts of this world.†
2.† It would knock down barriers to soul winning.
seek out opportunities to win people to Christ.† Close relatives, neighbors, friends, my boss, the mailman, and
the checkout lady at the store.
3.† It would keep us prayerful
moment would be bathed in prayer.
4.† It would promote faithfulness
folks at church would be the sweetest fellowship; the pastor would be sought.
5.† It would amplify virtues
thinking would be gone.† We would quite
naturally be at our best.
HOW DO WE WATCH?
1.† He wants us to be ready.†
Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in
such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
2.† He wants us to be good stewards.
Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and
deliveblack them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
3.† He wants us to be charitable, not judging.
I Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before
the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things
of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall
every man have praise of God.
4.† He wants blameless living (in light of His soon return)
I Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace
sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be
preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5.† He wants perfect obedience until His return.
I Timothy 6:14 That thou keep [this] commandment
without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
6.† He wants joyful expectation.
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
7.† He wants constant abiding.
I John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him;
that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before
him at his coming.
THOSE FOUND WATCHING WILL BE
1.† You will be honoblack.
Luke 12:37 Blessed [are] those servants, whom the
lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall
gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve
2.† You will fellowship with the King.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may
3.† You will be made into the likeness of the King.
3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his
glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all
things unto himself.
4.† You will share the glory of the King.
Colossians 3:4 When Christ, [who is] our life,
shall appear, ††††††††††† then shall ye
also appear with him in glory.
5.† You will receive a fadeless crown.
I Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall
appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
6.† It will be beyond your present imagination.
I John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and
it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
SO, HOW DO WE PREPARE?
Be sure you're saved.
You won't be ready for the second coming if you haven't
acknowledged His first coming.
Steps of salvation
Recognize your moral position with God.
are a sinner
