Walking In The Light
1 John 1:7 But if
we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Every man is brought into this world in darkness.
that Jesus was sent to dispel the darkness.
John 8:12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life.
The Bible teaches us that we receive Light from three
We receive Light from the Bible.
119:105 Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this
world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
We receive Light from the Holy Spirit.
9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am
the light of the world.
Himself is the true source of all light.
Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus:
and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
Paul was given Light from
the Lord Jesus Himself.
1 John 1:5 ¶ This then is
the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is
light, and in him is no darkness at all.
We receive Light from God’s People.
5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A
city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and
put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that
are in the house.
5:16 Let your light so shine before
men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in

From a life of rejecting the Light, Saul came face to
face with Jesus.
9:6 And he trembling and astonished
said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord [said] unto him, Arise,
and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must
9:16 For I will shew him
how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
If we don’t “tell”
people, God won’t “show” them.
Paul only because he responded to the Light God sent him.
Saul obeyed the Light of the Gospel of God.
The Gospel had been working at Saul.
He had been there when Stephen was stoned.
But he had refused to believe that Jesus was God.
Finally Jesus came to him on the road and
He received the Light of the Gospel: and Jesus as the Saviour.
obeyed the Light of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, what wilt thou have me
He was willing to be guided.
Saul obeyed the Light of the People
He obeyed the Light God gave him and God gave him more Light.
Saul had stopped obeying the Light, we might not be saved today.
d. Proverbs 11:30 The
fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is]
We must walk in the Light before God will show us His Will
and use us.
If we say “yes”, we receive more
Light, and more Light and more Light.
If we say “no”, we receive no more

witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of [our] faith;
We have to say, “yes,” to the
The number of people
whose lives are transformed by the Gospel is determined by our accepting the
responsibility to reach this generation with the Light.
There are four types of people in
followers and those who need to be reached.
God is looking for servants who
