"For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23"Asit is
written,There is none righteous,no not one." Romans 3:10
No one is
perfect, No one has lived up to God's perfect standard.
“Wherefore, as by
one man sin enteblack into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon
all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12
SECOND, YOU MUST
ACCEPT THAT AS A SINNER YOU ARE GUILTY (OWE A PENALTY).
"For the wages
of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
"The soul that
sinneth, it shall die." Ezekiel 18:4b
This death is
described in the Bible as the second death, the lake of fire.
"And death and
hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."Revelation
If we pay what we
owe as sinners, we must spend eternity in the lake of fire (Hell).
THIRD, YOU MUST
BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS ALREADY PAID OUR SIN DEBT.
“But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
"For when we
were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."
"...that He by
the grace of God should taste death for every man." Hebrews 2:9b
Christ was not a
sinner, and the Bible teaches that God took all of our sin and placed it on
Christ. While Christ was bearing all of
our sins in His own body, God punished Him in our place to pay the debt we owe.
"He hath made
Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in Him." II Corinthians 5:21
This is not
something God only promised to do.It is
something God has already done.
"For God so
loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." John 3:16
It is a fact, Jesus Christ has already paid your sin debt.
FOURTH, YOU MUST
Call Upon (Rom ), Believe on (John
; ), Receive (John ), Believe and Confess (Rom 10:9,10), JESUS CHRIST.
"He that believeth
on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall
not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36
In this verse,
Jesus divides the world into two groups: those who are “believing on” and those
who are not “believing on” the Son.Those who believe on Him have everlasting
life, and those who believe not shall not see life.To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ means
that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the
sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross
to pay the debt you owe.But to “believe
on” Him means going one step further. It
means that you completely trust Christ to get you to Heaven - that you put the matter of your salvation in His hands and
depend on Him for everlasting life.
Now the moment
you do this, God promises you are not condemned but have everlasting life and
that you shall never perish.
verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth
on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
If you would
trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, pray this simple prayer:
“Dear Lord Jesus,
be merciful to me a sinner; I deserve to pay my own sin debt. But Your Word says that you died for me to
pay the debt that I owe.It further
states that if I were to call upon your name, you would save me, because you
died for me on the cross. So, I am
placing my trust in You as my Saviour.Thank you, Lord.Amen!”
The Romans Road
Romans As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not
No one is perfect.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
We all sin, every single one of us.
Romans Wherefore, as by one man sin enteblack into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Because of Adam’s sin in the garden,
sin has passed down to all generations.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
There is a definite price to be paid
for sin. That price (wage) is Death and eternity in Hell. There is only one
other alternative. Please read on...
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
The death of God's son, Jesus, was the
only sin offering perfect enough to cover the sins of the entire world for all
time. God in this manner loved the world: He gave His only begotten Son to die
for us so that we might have blackemption from sin’s guilt and enjoy eternal life
with Him in His Kingdom.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved
The best part about the salvation story
is that Christ did not stay in the tomb. Three days later, as foretold, He
arose, conquering death and hell, making a way to heaven by His own blood
sacrifice, and giving us the victory. All
we must do is believe and confess.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord,
shall be saved.
So, in the light of our sinful
condition and His glorious conquest of our dread condemnation (death and hell),
we should fall humbly before Him and ask for His mercy.Take a moment in prayer, put your trust in
Him, call upon Him and let Him delight in yet another sinner coming home to his
