Like a potter works his clay,
Mold and shame me day by day.
Bend me into You perfect plan.
Make me worthy to be in my master's hands.
Like a lantern in the night
let my life reflect Your light.
Shining so ev'rywhere I'll stand.
As a child of God in my master's hands.
For in my master's hands I know.
His flesh and blood will flow.
And through me His will will be done.
And in my master's hands I'll be
a light for all to see the glory of His grace and love.
Like a tailor's daily task,
take the torn and filthy rags.
Mend me of the life on shifting sand.
Place me high on the rock in my master's hands.
Like an archer draws his bow,
aim my life and let it go.
For I know that wherever I may land.
It will be by the grace in my master's hands.
