Journey of Life

the journey of life can be overwhelming at times
the things you can go thru, can sure knock you down
you figure as time goes along, you'll handle things better
that's not always true.
that's not to say that you'll find no recovery
in fact you recover quite well most times
however some healing takes longer than others and
during this time the journey is overwhelming, so overwhelming
during this time, no one can relate to the concerns that you have
no one understands, you say, no one understands
right now you feel all alone, like there's no help for you at all
this is the time that the Love of God shines thru
Jesus died that you might have God's shoulder to cry on
that God's loving arms would be there to protect you
for God wants to be in your life to shelter you
when your journey is overwhelming
sometimes it seems that the rain in your life will never stop
you wonder why it's raining so hard
been so long since you've seen the sun, or so it seems
with thought you realize the rain has it's importance
you start to appreciate what God's already done
this storm too will pass
God's word says we're to be thankful in and for all things
God never said this would be easy, however it can be done
for the difficulties of life's journey, giving thank is
a necessary thing
for the difficulties will come, God has prepared us for those times
